It is written in accordance with the requirements of Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, and with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). AUGMNT declares that it carries on business in and from Canada and, unless and until otherwise modified, elects domicile in Canada for all purposes relating to this policy and the applicable legal frameworks referenced herein and this policy applies to all personal information collected through technological means in connection with our activities across Canada and internationally.

This data is used exclusively to ensure secure site operation and is not used for profiling or behavioral analysis.

2.3 Forms

When you complete a form on our site, data is collected and processed by our form providers (see section 8). Only the information you voluntarily submit is collected. We do not retain form data beyond what is necessary to respond to your request.

3. Why we collect this information

We use personal information for the following purposes: to respond to your inquiries and requests; to send our newsletter to subscribers; to manage event registrations; to improve our services and content; and to ensure the technical security and proper functioning of our site. We do not engage in targeted surveillance, behavioral profiling, or sale of personal data in any form.

4. Consent

We collect personal information only when you provide it voluntarily or when the law permits. Your consent is implicit in your act of submitting a form or subscribing to our newsletter. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at info@augmnt.co. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use only essential cookies necessary for basic site functionality. No behavioral tracking, advertising cookies, or analytics platforms are used. You may configure your browser to block cookies, though this may limit certain site functions.

In the event of a restructuring, merger, or sale, data may be transferred under equivalent confidentiality conditions.

7. Data retention and location

7.1 Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or until you request its deletion. AUGMNT does not maintain databases of client or prospect records beyond active correspondence and newsletter subscriber lists. We do not retain form submissions beyond the response cycle.

7.2 Data location

Our site is hosted by Spaceship.com, a U.S.-based company. This means that certain technical data associated with site visits may be stored on servers located in the United States, subject to U.S. data protection laws. Additional cross-border data flows are identified by service provider in section 8.

8. Third-party services and cross-border transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside Quebec and Canada. Where personal information is transferred outside Quebec, AUGMNT takes reasonable steps to ensure that the receiving jurisdiction provides adequate protection, consistent with Loi 25 and PIPEDA requirements.

8.1 Inbound contact email — Proton Mail

AUGMNT’s primary contact address (info@augmnt.co) is hosted by Proton Mail, operated by Proton AG, a Swiss company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Proton Mail applies end-to-end encryption by default, meaning message content is encrypted at rest and in transit and is not accessible to Proton AG. Switzerland maintains data protection standards recognized as adequate under both the EU GDPR and Canadian frameworks.

Data processed: your email address and the content of your message.

Data location: Switzerland.

8.3 Newsletter — Brevo

AUGMNT uses Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to manage and send our newsletter. Brevo is a French company headquartered in Paris, with data stored within the European Union under GDPR protections — a stronger data sovereignty profile than many U.S.-based alternatives.

Data collected by Brevo: your email address and interaction data (opens, clicks).

Brevo does not sell subscriber data. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any newsletter.

8.5 Online forms — Jotform

AUGMNT may use Jotform for certain online forms. Jotform is a U.S.-based company. Data submitted through Jotform forms is transferred to and stored on servers located in the United States. Jotform is GDPR-compliant and offers data residency options.

Data collected: the information you voluntarily enter in the form.

8.6 Website hosting — Spaceship.com

Our website is hosted by Spaceship.com, a U.S.-based hosting provider. 9. Automated decisions and artificial intelligence

AUGMNT does not make decisions producing legal effects or significant impacts on any individual through exclusively automated processing. Should such practices ever be introduced, affected individuals would be explicitly informed and would retain the right to request an explanation, a human review, and the opportunity to submit observations.

10. How we protect your information

We apply the following protective measures:

10.1 Technical measures: secure connections (HTTPS); strong authentication for all accounts; access limited to the Privacy Officer.

10.2 Administrative measures: personal data access limited by role and necessity; internal awareness of privacy obligations; service providers selected in part on the basis of their data protection commitments.

We apply a privacy-by-default principle consistent with Loi 25: no functionality requiring a lower level of confidentiality is activated without your voluntary action.

11. Privacy incident management

AUGMNT maintains an internal procedure for managing privacy incidents involving personal information. This procedure includes: a log of all incidents (including minor ones) retained for a minimum of five years; risk assessment for affected individuals; and immediate corrective measures. Where an incident presents a serious risk of harm, we are obligated to notify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI) and any affected individuals, with a summary of the measures taken.

12. Your rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

12.1 Access — you may request what data we hold about you.
