DEFY.ING 2025
To defy or challenge 2025 (and in 2025) is about giving yourself a challenge, it is about acting in a way that may seem daring or unreasonable. Challenging the status quo is about taking up the challenge of exploiting our need and ability to explore what is outside the fixed way of doing business, it is not only about the improvement of the known that we avoid but also the exploration of the unknown, the emerging future and the future still in the future.
THE STATUS QUO
The status quo can manifest itself in different ways. It can mean our habit of considering the present to the detriment of the emerging and the future. It can mean the limitation of our dynamism by not taking into account changes, threats or by treating them by reaction rather than preaction or proaction. It is the ignorance of horizons, of higher levels such as mega and meta trends, constraints and risks of geopolitics. Finally, it is giving precedence to best practices or business cases rather than challenging them through continuous experimentation.
