The AUGMNT workshops are designed and structured to deliver the content as simply and efficiently as possible and to build a knowledge base of sufficient quality and clarity to easily identify the necessary education and continuous improvement efforts.

Introduction

Generally, training on foresight is delivered as a specialty, in silos. Our academic training and our fairly diverse experience suggest a more holistic approach by considering risk management, its integration into monitoring activities and its all-round or rather all-horizon impacts on the organization.

Our workshops are delivered in 2-hour, half-day (4 hours) or full-day/multi-day formats. They can be private or public and are aimed at the leadership, governance, management team and all members of an organization.

Finally, each workshop is built to be delivered alone or with others in order to best meet the needs and constraints of the organizations (clients). Our workshops can include readings and light preparation before the workshop, training materials and a follow-up report.

Basic training

Although it may seem obvious, we make sure to start at the beginning to avoid potential learning problems. This beginning aims to set one’s “openness to the new” and maintain it throughout the learning. Our workshops are developed from foresight, risk management and transition design methodologies. They aim to provide powerful and actionable insights; develop a new skill to identify signals and trends and drivers; help discover future impacts (and their impacts as well as awareness of intended and unintended consequences); and finally identify and analyze risks and opportunities in order to ultimately achieve a preferred future.

Strategic Foresight – Intensive

The prospective/foresight solution is delivered in an intensive 2.5-day format; the half-day is preparatory to a good learning of the prospective method.

Strategic Foresight – Progressive

In order to best meet the needs and pace of certain organizations, the prospective solution is deliverable in a progressive format over several half-days according to a schedule that is flexible but realistic in order to get the maximum benefit from each training session.

A somewhat customizable training

We offer basic training that we consider minimal, to which elements can however be added or modified in order to better meet the needs of an organization.

Futures Literacy

Introductions to familiarize yourself with and prepare for the foresight training.

Futures Literacy is understanding what the future is, futures, why we imagine the future and how and in what context. We offer an Introduction to Futures in the form of a conference of approximately 2 hours. We also offer a workshop called Future Shock, lasting 2- 4 hours in order to take inventory of the futures of each of the participants and the gaps showing up. The 2 workshops can be combined.

Foresight/prospective

Foresight training, an approach presented in progressive and iterative steps.

The Foresight training is carried out in several progressive and iterative steps starting from the initial positioning by a question to be addressed, the awareness of alternative futures, the essential conditions for the articulation of a strategy, the understanding of the 3 horizons and their particularities, the scanning of the environment for trends, signals and drivers, the formulation and analysis of scenarios and their consequences at the 1st and 2nd level, the articulation and analysis of scenarios, and finally the choice of a preferred future. As an optional module, a specific question can be selected by the management of the organization and a report can then be submitted by the team for the purposes of strategy development.

Our complementary training courses cover topics that increase the understanding and results of foresight and strategic positioning activities.

Of Risks, disruptions & changes

A Set of 3 intensive brainstorming sessions on risks, disruptions and how to deal with changes and continuity.

The client : relevancy, innovation and continuity

A training covering “The Customer of the Future“, based among other things on the “Jobs To Be Done” approach, in order to reveal the relevant activities and innovations necessary to ensure the competitiveness, continuity and sustainability of the organization.

Business model : to create value or not

A broad exploration and critical analysis of business models taking into account the 3 horizons to illuminate the available choices and ultimately help in the selection of the most efficient business model.

Other useful trainings

Other trainings on important topics such as the maturity and competence models, antifragility, standards and protocols, algorithmic management and other topics critical to better the performance and continuity of organizations.
